Watered down physical therapy

It’s definitely a watershed moment for the aquatic therapists at Ahava Medical when the results of weeks of water therapy are evident in a patient.

At the core, aquatic therapy is physical therapy; the bonus is that it takes place in the water. With the body in a state of buoyancy, and the water supporting repetitive and strenuous movement, physical range of motion becomes easier and more effective.

Aquatic Therapy FAQ

Do I need to be able to swim for hydrotherapy?

No. The pools at Ahava Medical have a large area of shallow water, and if you don’t know how to swim, you can remain in the shallow water only with the same effective results.

What are the benefits of aquatic therapy?

Bolsters the immune system, Improves blood flow and circulation, Reduces stress, Relieves pain and muscle tension, Aids in healing from physical injuries, Alleviates symptoms associated with chronic medical issues such as Multiple Sclerosis, Arthritis, and Fibromyalgia.
